Luckily there is safety glass. If not, this baby may be meal for a hungry lion in a zoo at Portland, Oregon.
The video below shows a lioness who tried hard to claw thick safety glass. Baby Jack while looking calm, he didn’t even saw, the lioness effort behind the glass tried to eat him.
When the female African lion Kya tried to bite the head of the baby, Heather Baltzor Jack’s mom even heard laughing and encouraging Jack to say hello, “Hello little cat.” to Kya the lion
“It was Jack’s first trip to the zoo. We didn’t even realize he looked like a zebra until we got home but a lot of the animals in the zoo — the crocodiles and the jaguars — apparently did. They would come up to the glass and look at him.”
While many of the other animals were attracted to Jack, it was Kya who gave him the most attention.
“We were not worried. We thought it was hilarious,” Baltzor said.
Oregon Zoo director Kim Smith told KPTV that the lions often interacting with the children from behind a protective glass.
Said Smith, a lion shows the typical behavior of predators. It could be the lion thought Jack as a young baby zebra because striped black and white jacket he wore.
