Iran Will Send Warships to the U.S. coast

Iran Will Send Warships to the U.S. coastTeheran – Iranian Navy plans to reduce its fleet in the Atlantic waters near the territory of the United States. This step is carried out to avenge the U.S. fleet which often roam freely in the waters near Iran.

This plan was presented in an article in the Iranian news agency IRNA, quoted by CNN on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. The title of the article is “Iran’s Army Navy Will Have a Strong Presence in the United States Border.”

“Army Navy Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced plans to put the unit in the Atlantic Ocean. He said ‘the same as the arrogant powers of the world are in the waters of our borders, then we, with the help of sailors who hold fast to the concept of supreme jurisprudence, will be at the sea borders of the United States ‘, “IRNA wrote.

Navy commander who was quoted in the article is Admiral Habibollah Sayari the speech at the 31-year anniversary of the Iran-Iraq war. Previously, Sayari also announced a similar plan in July this year.

Presumably Iranian Navy has begun to develop their abilities. Earlier in February, two Iranian navy ships sailed through the Suez Canal for the first time since 1979.The Iranian government has repeatedly assure the presence of warships in international waters is not a threat to other countries. Iran’s armed forces said the principles they are to survive.

There is not any comment from the U.S. Defense Ministry responded to the Iranian plan. The U.S. Navy itself has frequently sent its fleet in the Persian Gulf waters in the past.
