Nelson Mandela hospitalized due to suffered pain in the stomach.
CAPE TOWN – Former South African President Nelson Mandela was rushed to the hospital. According to reports, Mandela suffered pain in his stomach.
South African officials say, Mandela suffered tremendous pain in his stomach, Mandela also require special care by a doctors specialist at the hospital. Similarly, as reported by the BBC on Saturday (02/25/2012).
The health condition of 93-year-old man was also reportedly continued to deteriorate from year to year. Therefore, Mandela seldom appeared in public. For eight years ago, Mandela was reported to have rarely seen in the presence of its citizens as well as on television.
Mandela served as President of South Africa in 1994 to 1999 ago. He was also known as anti-Apharteid fighters in Africa and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993.
Earlier in 1962, Mandela was arrested and detained for his activities in the Johannesburg Fort prison. While Mandela was sentenced to five years in prison, many of his colleagues who was sentenced to life imprisonment.
South African President Jacob Zuma said Mandela is a figure that is still very much loved by South Africans. Zuma even claim, Mandela is a figure who is also loved by all people around the world.
Dozens of reporters and television crews at home and abroad gathered at the hospital. Speculation is growing about Mandela’s health condition and a lively conversation up to Twitter. ANC asked for calm and said Mandela is not in danger.
“He’s only 92 years old and have age-related diseases,” said party spokesman Jackson Mthembu.
He urged people not to make unfounded statements. “Let’s stay calm and do not hit the panic button due to there is no reason to do it,” he said.
