Cuba – Yoandri Hernandez Garrido earned the nickname man of twenty-four. Male 37 years it was dubbed because it has twenty-four fingers. Just look at his hands, each having six fingers, as well as with his feet.
Have excess of finger didn’t make Hernandez  shame. Instead he became proud and feel blessed. For twenty-four fingers thanks to the man who lived in Cuba can climb coconut trees faster.

In addition he also gets extra money from the tourists who want to photograph his fingers and of course take pictures with him. Usually by the tourists he was given a fee of U.S. $ 10.

Amount paid for the rather large when compared to the average salary in the place he lives is only U.S. $ 20 a month. “I’m so grateful to have 24 fingers, I can live, because I do not have a full time job.” he said.

People who have excess fingers like Hernandez is called poydactyly. Actually quite a lot of cases, but very seldom have more perfect number of fingers.

Anyone who saw Hernandez’s hand with a flash would not realize he’s got more fingers than a normal person. Except if you look carefully and count them.

According to Hernandez as a child, he was accosted by an orthopedist who also Fidel Castro’s doctor. Experts said for years he had never seen perfect case of polydactyly such Hernandez.

“He was very impressed with my finger,” said the man who was the only person at his family with an excess number of fingers.

There is a unique experience with this finger. When he was sitting in school he got confused. A teacher asked him to calculate the five plus five.

“When I was small and shy, I said nothing, he then asked me to count with my fingers, I said 12,” he said. “The teacher was upset, but I’m saying it right.”

Thanks to this 24 fingers  Hernandez became popular and much admired. “I’m proud and have a million friends, none has ever insulted me because they are the number of my fingers,” he said.
